Ickworth House
From a visit on our way home from Norfolk yesterday. Ickworth House is a country house at Ickworth, near Bury St Edmunds. It is of neoclassical design set in parkland. The house was previously the residence of the Marquesses of Bristol until 1998 but was given to the National Trust in 1956. However, between then and 1998 the marquesses leased the east wing.
